Recommendations on the choice of equipment for KGS-STIM fog generation units

• For industrial humidification, we recommend choosing installations of a higher pressure class, since the generated fog of this pressure class almost completely dissolves in the air, does not settle on surfaces.
• For humidification and irrigation, it is permissible to use installations of both pressure classes.
• Low pressure installations (up to 300 bar) will provide a mode closer to fine-dispersed irrigation - heavy raw natural fog. This mist moisturizes the leaf well. Droplets may form on the sheet and surfaces.
• High-pressure installations will provide a natural fog mode - a light dry fog comparable in dispersion with ultrasonic humidification systems. With a sufficient volume of the room and setting, the fog does not form drops on the sheet - ideal for moistening crops that are not tolerant of drops when moistened.
• An air compressor of 8-10 bar is required for the installation to work. You can purchase it yourself. When selecting equipment, we give recommendations on the selection of compressors from third-party manufacturers.
• Purification of water to the distilled level is NOT REQUIRED. When working on soft water, a mechanical filter of 10 µm in the low pressure line provided in the standard equipment of the installation is sufficient.
  In the presence of hardness salts and suspended iron (characterized by white and red scale), it is necessary to install softener filters and degreasers. Installation of reverse osmosis systems, UV disinfection, etc. will extend the service life of the equipment, but is optional. You can independently purchase a water treatment system from specialized organizations, taking into account the estimated flow rate and the degree of water contamination.
• We recommend feeding the unit with water at a pressure of at least 1 bar (optimally 3 bar). Power from a non-pressurized tank is acceptable, but it can reduce the service life of the pump and the stability of fog generation.
• Pumps in the units are not afraid of dry running. Operation in dry running mode for up to 15 minutes is permissible. Dry running protection relay is not required. When working on dry running, the discharge pressure drops sharply. The registration of the pressure drop at the discharge from the pressure converter can serve as a signal to stop the pump.
• To control humidity using one or more temperature/humidity sensors, you can use ready-made boxed solutions of third-party Smart Home systems. For the simplest control of the system, there is no need for constant monitoring of the discharge pressure, pressure in the pneumatic network. Periodic checking of parameters 1 time per work shift together with visual monitoring of the injectors is sufficient to prevent equipment failures. Individual integrated automation is justified with cascade control, remote monitoring and diagnostics of the system, integration with other climate control systems.
• It is technically feasible to supply solutions and mixtures with chemically active substances compatible with pump seals. Restrictions: the substance must not contain solid (especially abrasive) inclusions, fibrous inclusions, substances that can contaminate the check valves of the pump. We have a positive experience of water supply with chlorine-containing disinfectants and foaming agents.
  ATTENTION: the responsibility for protecting the respiratory organs of personnel when spraying chemically active, aggressive, dangerous mixtures is borne by the consumer.
